Chad, Chris has indeed done a yeoman's job carrying on in your absence. If I had the ability to reward him with a couple of Karmas, it would be done. By the way, what are the Karma Rules for BSB? I don't recall seeing any info about it.

Chris would know I'm sure so when he wanders over here he can hopefully answer that question.

I think even more intriguing than the player of the year running is the top 10 pitchers list! No disrespect to any other Ohio teams or pitchers, but this list should actually probably just be composed of Wooster, Marietta, and Heidelberg guys. The heidelberg guys will have another great season because they are primarily strike throwers. They won't overpower you, but will say here it is hit it. But at the end of the day I think Wooster and Mariettas pitching is gonna be through the roof this season! Each team has at least 3 potential draft guys, some of whom aren't even the top three pitchers on their respective team! Scary... when Wooster plays Marietta, don't be surprised to see a 1-0 game, or 0-0 tie the game has to be called on account of darkness or the radar gun exploding

Ferrell is a senior this season. It'll be interesting to see if he gets much to hit with Nell gone behind him. It will be interesting considering that I have received word that Craig Knott has walked back on campus after a 2 year hiatus

I saw last week that he was on the roster, but I haven't heard back what the story is.

Sorry, I should have expanded a little on what fundamentals and I are talking about for non-Mount folks...
Connor Nell had a great year hitting behind Ferrell last year. With him gone they don't have a proven bat to slot in there (Tracy hits ahead of Ferrell) to protect Ferrell. Craig Knott played 2 seasons at SS for MUC, starting as both a freshman and soph. He has very good power (something like 8-9 HR each of those years) and hits for solid avg as well (around .330 if I remember right). He left school in 09, but is apparently back and on the team.

Gramps congratulates Willie B-rechun on achieving the #4 spot in the BSB TOP 25 COUNTDOWN. After a just AWESOME 2010 season, Willie is looking forward to the 2011 season. I know that his team mates and THE BERG fans and family are very proud of Willie for his work on the field and the fine young man that he is.
