Wow, evidently Cap and ONU are playing. And Cap took the opener 1-0 behind freshmen Justing Hoying's CG 2 hitter. Austin Price threw a CG for ONU taking the tough loss.

Chad, I caught the tail end of the 1st game and the whole 2nd. Denison hit the ball all over the place but didn't throw it well the 2nd game. The game was closer than the final of 12-5, in the bottom of the 5th Denison's CF ran at a full sprint into the wall looked to still make the catch (supposedly the ball came out but after he hit the wall) but the umps said he didn't make the catch. They ended up calling the squad down took him to the hospital. Couldn't bend his arm, couldn't walk and laid on the ground for over 5 minuets. Looked to be like shoulder injury and a concussion but I am not certain.
After that Denison had 1st and 3rd with 2 outs in the next inning but hit a Line Drive right at the RF. After that the game got out of hand errors, and walks.
Hope this doesn't linger over the effect to tomorrow against Kenyon. But the way they hit the ball today it should be a good one to watch. I'm not making it to the game tomorrow but hopefully they have audio.

MUC finished off an 11 inning, 4-3 W at Thiel today. Now 7-9, the Raiders are within sight of .500 again.
p.s. I wish Musky had live stats.

dufan, I hope the CF is okay. That doesn't sound good. If I remember correctly, OWU has a wood fence too don't they?
With Woo starting off 4-2 the NCAC race is looking like it's going to be a dog fight. You have a lot of teams capable of beating each other. Gonna be fun!

Woo sweeps Hiram today 17-2 and 3-2. Scots hurlers Justin McDowell and Matt Barnes each gave up only one earned run. Woo had three Freshman belt homers today. The Scots stand at 6-2 in league play. Can you say NCAC tourney? ? Reports of our demise are greatly exaggerated.

Chad,
The CF didn't play against Kenyon, don't know the severity behind the injury but it did not look good yesterday the way he was helped off the field(anyone have any word on him?). It is a wood fence and did not give one bit. Hopefully he will be back soon maybe by Berg this week!
Seems like the NCAC is up for grabs still Wooster now on top at 6-2 but 6 teams within striking distance. Looking at the OWU Wabash scores I wonder about if some teams will save their #1 for Sunday against a "better" team.
Oh looks to be an exciting finish. Gramps not going to make it to Tiffin this week, got to work, maybe next time!

Etta at B-W ppd. until Wednesday now. NCAC-esque back-to-back conference DH for these two, weather permitting.

Can you say NCAC tourney? ? Reports of our demise are greatly exaggerated. Any time you can trot out McDowell, Barnes, Fugate, etc. your demise may have been wishful thinking in the first place! But a couple splits already is probably the best glimmer of hope the rest of the NCAC has had in a bit.

Chad, Woo is getting better but in small increments. I honestly think we will end up with 10-11 NCAC wins and make the conference tourney. Given the tourney format of several games in three days, I think we have a good shot to get to the Mid-East regional. We are not as consistently good as The Berg or Marietta and we might not get there this season. We will find out what we have this Thursday as the Etta Express rolls into town.

Well, let the postponements for Tuesdays games begin, Witt at Kenyon now moved to Wednesday at 2:00pm. ONU at Wittenberg moved to Thursday at 6:00pm. Then the weekend in the NCAC, Witt at Denison on Sat for a noon start, then at home Sunday vs. Wooster at 1:00pm. 3 conference DH this week for the Tigers, if they can somehow get through this week above .500 vs these 3 schools they should be right in the hunt to get into the tournament. This is going to be a huge test for them.

When OWU hits on all cylinders they can beat anyone. They have been very inconsistent because their big hitters don't seem to be on at the same time. Zach Frentsos is hot and when Knezovich,DiBiasio, Toland, Wise, Bott, and Strome all hit they are awesome. Gaydos has some pop also. Their pitching is oddly inconsistent. Farr, Livingston, Schindler, and Sega can pitch and the bullpen is decent. This is a talented team that has a deceiving record. If they put it all together, the can still contend in the NCAC and the region. The are running out of time though.
