Chad, Speaking for the fans and parents from Witt, we love it, as I said at the end of last season, it's going to change for the betterment of the conference, Wooster can"t just roll everyone in the North, as they have been, dispite the fact that they are pretty darn good every year. I think the South has been much more competitive from top to bottom, unlike the North Div. Now you have to go through everybody, to make it to the tournament. Yes there is more travel, but I don't think that's an issue. Unless you have to travel back to a school, cause they don"t know how to turn the sprinklers off! Yes, I'm still bitter about that! Speaking to some of the kids, and they are excited about this format, especially the seniors, who have wanted this. Its exciting that the playing field has been evened out. The south has been beating up on each other for a few years, now its gets spread out. Hope the NCAC keeps it this way!

I just don't like the idea of not playing everyone in the conference the same amount of times. This isn't the Big East for basketball where there are 38 teams in 12 states. What's the worst trip? Gheny to Wabash? That's not that bad. It evens the playing field this way.

Etta gets a 10-0 win at Wash and Jeff. If the website is correct - they retired the last 17 batters of the game. I believe that's their 6th shutout of the season

OWU has a couple W's over Berg this year. Definitely a boost for the confidence. Looks like other than the 0.1 IP from Lowe the Berg held everyone back as OAC play starts tomorrow. O'Driscoll got the start. This is what I like about how Palm does things. O'Driscoll will get these random NC starts as a freshman. Then next year when Koehl and James are gone he slides into the rotation with half a dozen college starts already under his belt. He's over the nerves, he knows his routine. A lot of teams throw youngsters into the fire out of necessity. This is more of a planned introduction period. I think when you look at the elite teams in Ohio you see this same pattern.

Heidelberg is experiencing the post World Series blues..... a non-diagnosed but real ailment for a baseball team. I saw it last year with the Wooster squad which had went to Appleton the previous Spring. Our kids won the games they were supposed to win and then turned it up against the elite squads such as the Berg and Etta. At times we seemed unenthused and disinterested. Contrast this with Etta's hungry approach this season. They fell just short last year and are determined to get back to the Big Dance. The Mid-East regional at Marietta should be a real dogfight come May. I talked to a knowledgeable baseball guy in Port Charlotte who advised that Marietta is a better club than The Berg. Anyways, Woo at Gheny rescheduled for April 24th. See ya..... at a ballpark....... somewhere!!!

Is wooster's game canceled this weekend? On their site it say but on Gheny's site it still says its on? Isn't the 24th Easter Sunday?
Other than that, I'm excited for this weekend with DU coming into Delaware. Should be a good 2 games. Denison lost 3 of 4 to OWU last year and should be hungry to get back at them. Still think I can make it to atleast one of the games this weekend, my sons little league game is at 11, might make game 2.
Gramps looks like we had a snow out the other day, that picture on the Denison website says it all. Any word on a makeup date?

Witt lost to Wilmington last night in Springfield 12-7, Witt was up crusing into the 6th with a 7-1 lead, but thanks to some mindless plays and before it all ended in 11 innings, 5 Witt errors helped in the loss. Embarressing might be the best word to describe it all. They are better than that. Hope they get their heads out of the sand quickly, they head over to Kenyon on Sat. for a NCAC DH at noon, then home on Sun with Oberlin at 1:00pm.

dufan2000, as soon as I know, I'll be sure to post it. As of now, it is not rescheduled, but THE BERG plays Denison next Weds., at Pleasant Valley and I wouldn't be surprised if the game was finished there. If you can make it to the game, drop over, we'll talk some baseball.
