Spartan magic! Love it!
Berg also takes care of PSU Altoona 12-5. Gar Keen is red hot (4-4, HR).
With Etta up comfortably today has gone beautifully for Ohio.

PS-Altoona gets 3 in the 9th to steal the win from Adrian 3-2.
Adrian has 2 ACES who threw great, but ends up going home early.
GREAT tournament so far!

GAME 6
FINAL #2 Heidelberg - 8 #6 Case Western - 1
Holt was flirting with disaster early, but the HEID defense is playing well behind him. He's calmed down & made it through 8 innings strong. The Berg's offense is producing runs, thanks in part to some mistakes by CWRU, and plenty of walks, and timley hitting.
O'Driscoll came on for the 9th.
Coach Palm has gotten a lot out of his starters these first 2 games, which helps Lowe after last weekends tiring-out. they will need him tomorrow.

GAME 9
FINAL #1 Marietta - 23 #2 Heidelberg - 6
Koehl got hit around the park like nobodies business & yanked after 1 1/3, while trailing 8-0. Since then, it's been a train of low-end relievers. Palm is saving pitching, knowing that the Berg is heading for the loser's bracket.
What an offensive display by the Pioneers!! It's taking away from the fact that Williams was PERFECT through 4 2/3 for Marietta before giving up a single ;D Williams went 5 1/3, giving up one run in the 6th, before giving way to the bullpen.
Who would've thought a Regional winner's bracket final game against Heidelberg would end up being Marietta's biggest stat-booster game of the year; crazy.

GAME 10
TOP 9th #6 CWRU - 10 #4 Franklin - 4
things are looking good for Ohio teams...they will be the last 3 standing.
Case will play Heidelberg in the loser's bracket final tomorrow morning. The winner advances to play Marietta in the Championship game. If there needs to an if necessary 2nd championship game played, it will take place on Sunday because Heidelberg/CWRU couldn't play 3 games in one day per NCAA rules.

WHAT A GAME!!!! JUST WHAT A CHAMPIONSHIP GAME SHOULD BE.
A tip of Gramps hat to the Marietta Pios on winning the trip to the WS. It was a wonderful experience for us last year. Bring back the trophy to the OAC family.
We made great friends with some of the Pio family and fans over the years and I and my family wish them the best of luck.
