OAC - Marietta (38-3) NCAC - Wabash (21-20) HCAC - Franklin (29-12) MIAC - Adrian (31-9) PrAC - Thomas More (28-7) Case Western (30-13) - possible Pool B/C Heidelberg (33-11) - Pool C lock I think Adrian will be the #2 seed and Heidelberg the #3 seed...if they are all in the Marietta Regional, and not shipped out. The thing that will be interesting is to see who gets shipped in, and possibly out, of the region. With the South Regional in Memphis this year, many of the teams in the Mideast are actually closer to Memphis than teams in the South Region. That regional will most likely be a mix of teams from all over; while some traditional South Region teams will be shipped to the Mid-Atlantic....like Shenandoah (they could be the #1 see in the MidAtlantic Regional). With the NCAA having to pay for flights if teams are more than 500 miles way from a Regional site, there could easily be teams likes Thomas More or Franklin shipped to Memphis, b/c they could bus and save money, while tradiotional South teams are over 500 miles from Memphis. While teams from PA or Virginia could be shipped to the Marietta Regional. My ultimate hope is that Heidelberg gets shipped to the South Regional in Memphis as the #2 seed there (behind #1 seed CNU), and the Berg and Etta Express both end up in Appleton!!

I simply don't see Heidelberg getting shipped out. I can't wait to see the Regional selections come out though. So many possibilities. Etta, Wabash, Franklin, Adrian and Thomas Moore seem to be in the Mideast one for sure most likely, with chances for Berg, Case, Altoona and Frostburg being potential teams to slide into the MidEast as well. Behrend was in the MidEast last year so it would seem as if Altoona could likely come here this year as well. My guess though would be that Wabash gets shipped to the Illinois regional to go along with Mideastfan's prediction of TM and Franklin potentially going to Tenn

I'm most excited to see....
1) Does Case get the nod? 2) Does Berg get shipped out? 3) Does Etta get a 7 team regional?

And for the record, I don't think Berg is getting moved. I think they're in the Mideast. The other two I hope are yes, but we'll have to see.

silly question....looks like RAIN all day wednesday and thursday.....wonder what they will do.... they will play the tournament games in order, and late into the night each day....IF (and that's a big IF), the tournament is not completed by the end of the day on Monday, May 23rd, the team that is undefeated at that time gets the bid to the World Series. If 2 teams are undefeated, it's the higher seeded team. This has only happened a few times in the last 30 years; and I don't believe it's ever happened at a Mideast Regional.

Tournament is underway.
Game One#4 Franklin vs #5 Frostburg State
Franklin is throwing their ACE, while Frostburg is rolling the dice and keeping their All-American candidate on the bench, and going with their #3 starter.....both these teams will face Marietta in their next game, it just depends on whether it will be MC's first game or second.
Franklin leads 3-1 after 7 innings.

Frostburg loads the bases in the top of the 8th with only 1 out, then doesn't score. Big inning for Franklin.
Even bigger in the 9th...Frostburg rallies with 2 outs to push a run across, then with the bases loaded, Franklin K's the final out of the game LOOKING. Not a way to lose if your Frostburg.
FINAL Frostburg State - 1 Franklin - 3
Frostburg will come back late tonight to face Marietta.
Franklin will face Marietta tomorrow afternoon.
