I will admit, NAIA and DII ball are the two areas where I have the least amount of knowledge. I'm working on that though.
For the AMC, historically who has been at the top of the conference?
What transpired in 2009 that might carry over to 2010?
Lastly is ODU still NAIA for 2010 or have they switch to DII officially? I did not see them on Cedarville's schedule.

Malone is at the top of the conference. I am hoping Shawnee State has a big year. A lot of sophomores that had playing experience last year. I am hoping they break out. I worry about the pitching depth though

Shawnee State I feel is on the up and up. Coach Tom has a clear cut vision of how he wants the program to go and things are working in the Bears advantage with facilities and moving to the Mid-South next year.
Looking forward to heading down to Portsmouth and catching a SSU game this spring.

This year should see some improvement, although they seem to be very thin in pitching. The Sophomores will need to step up to make them competitive. I saw some new guys with big swings and big holes in their swing in the fall. I hope the coach can minimize this problem or the opposition will be throwing a lot of change-ups and breaking pitches.

Does anyone know what's up with MVN? Clint Yoder and Kodi Veale haven't played at all yet. Yoder is not even listed on the roster either.

Malone swept Trinity to move to 10-2, but then was swept by Minota St. to finish 10-4.
Malone has really good starting pitching so far. Liberatore and Shenker were kind of known quantities, but Camden Carter has been good in his 2 starts. Freshmen Jared Messer and Jesse Coblentz have been great too.

NDC pounded out 16 hits against Hiram in a 14-6 win Sunday. The Falcons have now bested their 09 win total already as they sit at 11-4.

What school does the worst job covering baseball on their website? My vote goes to Shawnee State. They do nothing for their players or fans. I hope prospects don't look at the site. If they do, umm umm umm!

I will keep my opinions to myself, but suffice to say that now that I look at all these schools' sites almost daily I have certainly found some schools to be much, much better than others. There are certain schools that I don't even look at their site in favor of just checking the site of whoever they played (even if the opponent is out of state) because I know the coverage on their own site is bad.

Shawnee State swept Walsh this weekend. It looks like it's going to be a long year at Walsh. They're 1-7 in the AMC now and not really showing any signs of turning the corner down the road. As for your Bears...a sweep is a sweep, especially on the road. Great start to AMC play.

I see it as a lack of commitment to the sport and team. Not only is the content bad, but the grammar and spelling is atrocius. They are schools of higher learning for gods sake! Give me a break.

I think it's 2 things....one, some schools just devote more resources ($$) to athletics/sports information. For example, some schools have a much larger budget in sports information so they can do things like hire a full-time Asst. SID, numerous interns, etc. They can upgrade their site design more often too.
Second, some SID's are just better than others. Really no other way to say it, but it's true.
